Victron Energy's SmartSolar MPPT is an advanced solar charge controller designed to maximize the efficiency of capturing energy from photovoltaic panels and maintain battery health. Using the ultra-fast Maximum Power Point Tracking technology, SmartSolar constantly optimizes the voltage and current of the solar panels, ensuring the efficient capture and storage of every available watt. This technology is particularly useful when the sky is partly cloudy and the light intensity fluctuates.

SmartSolar can recharge even severely discharged batteries, operating with a battery voltage of up to 0 Volts, provided that the cells are not permanently sulfated or damaged. The regulator offers the intelligent output function for the load, which prevents the excessive discharge of the batteries by disconnecting the load at a critical voltage and trying daily to fully recharge the battery. If it fails due to bad weather, increase the disconnection voltage daily until it succeeds. This feature, called BatteryLife, contributes to extending the life of the batteries.

For remote monitoring and control, it has integrated Bluetooth, allowing connection to smartphones and other devices through the VictronConnect application. If the installation is connected to the Internet through a GX device, the Victron Remote Management (VRM) portal offers full access to MPPT functions from anywhere. VictronConnect and VRM are free. In the case of remote installations, without an Internet connection, it can be monitored by connecting the GlobalLink 520.
