The second model in the XS series is to be launched: Orion XS 1400.

The XS 1400 can be configured as a DC-DC battery charger with the following voltage conversion options: 12V la 12V, 12V la 24V, 24V la 12V și 24V la 24V.

Its advanced Buck-Boost conversion technology automatically adjusts the output voltage to match the battery's requirements, ensuring optimal charging in all phases – Bulk, Absorption and Float. The conversion efficiency of the Orion 1400 is exceptional, exceeding 98% under normal operating conditions. These include protection against overload, short circuit, reverse polarity, overheating and abnormal voltages. In addition, intelligent engine-on detection allows the device to start charging only when the alternator is supplying voltage, avoiding accidental discharge of the main battery when the engine is off. This feature makes the Orion 1400 ideal for mobile applications where protection of the main battery is essential.

Compatibility with all types of modern batteries is another strong point of the Orion 1400. In particular, the integration with LiFePO4 batteries and BMS management systems ensure safe, surge-free charging with adjustable profiles for Bulk, Absorption and Float phases. In addition, the output current can be adjusted, which is useful when the alternator or vehicle wiring cannot support high currents for long periods.

The Orion 1400 is equipped with Built-in Bluetooth, giving the user the ability to configure and monitor the entire charging process via the VictronConnect app, available for Android, iOS and Windows. Through this app, one can view real-time charging parameters, adjust voltage and current, select battery types, and monitor operating history. The Bluetooth firmware update function ensures that the device remains compatible with new technologies and can be improved in the long term.

Thanks to its integrated Buck-Boost technology, the Orion 1400 is able to maintain constant voltage even when the vehicle's alternator is operating on smart profiles, making it essential in modern vehicles with smart alternators.
