The Fronius Symo GEN24 Plus three-phase hybrid inverter is the ideal core for private photovoltaic systems. Fronius GEN24 Plus offers an integrated backup power supply with PV Point and even a complete backup power solution through the option of connecting a battery storage system.

The Fronius GEN24 Plus hybrid inverter enables energy self-sufficiency for electricity, heating, cooling and electric mobility through the use of a battery system. This means that the Fronius GEN24 Plus with Full Backup has a backup power solution that even large consumers, such as heat pumps, can use. In addition, the Multi Flow technology allows the hybrid inverter to provide parallel energy flows in the system, even in reserve power mode.

Integrated data communication – Fronius Symo Gen24 Plus

We are the first inverter manufacturer to offer a data communications package with fully integrated data logging, WLAN, Ethernet, power management, web server and a wide range of interfaces. The inverter is connected to the Internet via network cable or WLAN - without additional wiring - and offers you a perfect overview of how the photovoltaic system works. The connection to third-party components is ensured through interfaces such as Modbus TCP SunSpec, Modbus RTU SunSpec or Fronius Solar API (JSON). The open interfaces can also be operated in parallel with Fronius Solar.web.

Top dynamic manager

Dynamic Peak Manager is a new MPP tracking algorithm that dynamically adapts its behavior to search for the optimal operating point. Its special feature is that Dynamic Peak Manager automatically checks the entire characteristic curve regularly and finds the Global Maximum Power Point (GMPP), even in partial shade.

Multi Flow technology – Fronius Symo Gen24 Plus

Using Multi Flow Technology, different DC and AC energy flows are possible in parallel. On the one hand, this allows the energy from the modules and the battery to be available for domestic use at the same time. However, it is also possible for the energy from the modules to be simultaneously fed into the battery and the internal network. [#$$#]

In addition, the battery can be charged not only from the DC side, but also from the AC side (for example, from existing photovoltaic systems or other energy sources, such as a wind turbine). This means that the inverter is also suitable for AC-coupled retrofitting. The inverter manages these energy flows in such a way as to obtain the highest possible degree of self-sufficiency.

SuperFlex design – Fronius Symo Gen24 Plus

Fronius SuperFlex Design is an ingenious combination of technical performance attributes that make the design of your photovoltaic system not only extremely simple, but also incredibly flexible. The key performance factors of the SuperFlex Design are two MPP trackers, along with a high system voltage and a wide DC input voltage range. Each DC input, and therefore each MPP tracker, is capable of accommodating the entire rated output of the inverter.

Regardless of whether the inverter has to cope with different roof orientations, shading of one or two rows or the use of residual modules: a Fronius inverter with integrated SuperFlex Design will satisfy any conceivable operational photovoltaic system planning scenario using only one inverter model.

Full backup

With the full reserve option, the entire household, i.e. 1-phase as well as three-phase devices, can be supplied with electricity in the event of a mains failure.

PV point

The built-in back-up network – an outlet that is powered during power outages – ensures that important loads can continue to operate in the event of a power failure.

Active cooling

The active cooling technology is based on one or more fans, which not only avoid hot spots, but also regulate the air circulation inside the inverter, thus maintaining the low power electronic temperature. This has a positive effect on the lifetime of the devices, optimizes yields and reduces costs. At Fronius, active cooling is provided as standard in all devices.
