Victron Energy Battery Equalizer
The battery balancer equalizes the state of charge of two 12V batteries connected in series or of several parallel strings of batteries connected in series. When the charging voltage of a 24V battery system increases to over 27V, the balancer will activate and compare the voltage of the two batteries connected in series. The balancer will draw a current of up to 1A from the battery (or batteries connected in parallel) with the highest voltage. The resulting charge current differential will ensure the convergence of all batteries to the same state of charge. If necessary, several balancers can be connected in parallel. A 48V battery bank can be balanced with three battery balancers.
